Guys with the likes of malaria, tuberculosis, ebola, lassa fever, HIV, which has caused loss of life in the past. With some like malaria taking a very long time before a cure was found. Can we say corona is still the deadliest?

No! Many are obviously unaware about historical event;

Around 431 BC- Plague of Athens; claimed about 25% of the population.
The Plague of Justinian (541-542 AD); More than 25million died.
The black death (pestilence plague 14 & 20 century) estimated 350million; more than half population of Europe died.
The 1918 Spanish flu pandemic - affected 500million people (1/4 of world's population)
