The billionaire tycoon Obafoluke Otudeko has resigned his chairmanship of Nigeria’s First Bank after only a year in the saddle. His resignation was forced by new central bank rules limiting the tenure of bank directors to ten years. He has been replaced by Prince Ajibola Afonja, a non-executive director.
