To the lawyers in the house: Can child upkeep be enforced in Nigeria? What are the legal penalties of not rendering financial support to one's child?

Forget about law, let's face nature and humanity

If you can have a child out of wedlock, whatever you can do to build tgat child up both financial, social and moral, do it he or she is your blood

If you don't do it as you starve the child, so you deprive yourself

When God knows you have responsibilities and you face it, he has good reasons to keep your income flowing

There has to be a way to enforce child support.
Let's stop mentioning 'God' and keep letting people get away with not providing for their kids.
.
I think we should start with the family unit.
As a parent, your son impregnates a girl, what's your responsibility here?
As a parent, your daughter gets pregnant, and after birth, dumps the baby in the guys family house, what's your responsibility here?
.
Let's start with that.
