You're right, but people are not taking that path because it cost MILLIONS of Naira, thousands of flights hours and years to be certified Commercial Pilot/Captain.

If you don't have a degree in Medicine and you're practising, you can easily be fished out except you don't go close to Doctors... Medicine has a language.

Are there such vocational institutes in Nigeria for secondary school leavers to attend because the way university education is going in Nigeria seems like an absolute waste of time to be honest.

I also forgot to add to the list, solar technicians, nail technicians, auto technicians etc

This looks more like a copy and paste article from a foreign blog. Please be advised that professions are practiced differently in different countries. In the USA you have ultrasound technicians who take pictures but can't interpret them. That is not practiced in Nigeria. Diagnostic Medical sonographers make diagnosis in Nigeria. To become one you need to have had a Bachelors degree in related discipline and proceed to a postgraduate training for it. If HEFEMA catches you in Lagos practicing ultrasound without the requisite training you are doomed.
Please don't mislead people. We have a lot of problems already in the health sector, don't create more by encouraging quackery. Anyone who takes your advice today could end up being the person attending to you or a relative someday.

I worked as a cable technician for 1 year. I just got fired last month. I made $62, 000 and about $1800 in tips.
I have 3 other buddies that are Nigerians that worked with me as 1099 or contractors too. One of them made $92, 500 last year, another one made $84K and the third one made $$69,670. I was the one that made less because they had more experience than I did.

It is a cool job but to make that money, it means you work everyday from Monday to Sunday and I know that is not what I want to do for a long time. I have already had double degrees and I just could not find any job.

I’m going into IT that does not require a degree but pay handsomely too. I will start with CCNA and see if I might can climb up the ladder.

The cable technician only takes a week to learn how to strip wires and follow the rules and regulations and boom! You are ready to go.

Anytime even Israelis went into idolatry, they were taken into slavery many times but, every time they repented, they were forgiven.. Taken into prosperity and definitely one the best, prosperous and powerful nations in the earth.

Most negroes that are still poor, wretched people in the world are those that still cling to ancestral and idol worship or blind worship of some deities!

Well, to me.... If the God they served brought them prosperity and victory every time. We might adopt Him and make His principles and power work for us.

The Asians ( China, India, etc go to the Western countries to steal and apply their ideas but we Africans were trained by our selfish leaders/ ancestors, many of whom sold their kins and enemies into white man slavery for their personal gains do no such thing as to try and develop their own cities or ports for economic gains for their own people but still carry it all into the white man's Banks!

No curse but foolish mindsets that most Africans seem to inherit From their fathers!
A doctor's offspring can never end up a vulcanizer or petty trader. So all negative mindset against the whites must stop! And let's learn what we can and move on!
