my son is almost 3 years old. if wales up at 7am. he does not sleep during the day except at night. it get worse when u give him any drug that can make him sleep by getting extra hyper active. please what can i do.

There is nothing abnormal about that. Since he sleeps at night. I will advice you stop giving him any drug to make him sleep. I had a cousine whose son had the same problem, At first she gave him phalum 5 it wasnt working , the next time it was phalum 10 that is two phalum 5 it didnt work. So she decide to give him 4 which is phalum 20, Guess what the boy slept for over 48 hours. So be warned, Its like the boy is troublesome, you want him to sleep abi? You better leave the boy alone make he dey flex

My 1st son was hyper active. Hardly sleeps both mornin & night. I didnt use any drugs on him. Now he sleeps very well.

why must you administer drugs on such a young boy in the first place.
they have their specialist.
moreover, nothing is wrong with the boy, if he play enough during the day, he will definitely sleep.
if you feel anything is wrong, take him to the specialist. NOT JUST GENERAL DOCTOR.

Why would you drug your child because he will not sleep during the day. He sleeps at night and that's all that matters. You can always insist on naps during the day. he might not sleep but he must stay in his bed. One of my boys will sleep during the day but the other does not. He knows better than to get out of bed when I say it is nap time. You just have to make sure there is a routine. Sometimes I even feel sorry for my 4 year old and let him come out and hang around my office while his brother naps but he still has to lie down and I only let him if his brother is till sleeping after 2 hours or so. He must get the down time.
I am not a napper so I think my 4 year old gets that from me. My husband on the other hand is a napper and I find that he needs that to function 100%. Everybody is wired differently.

My daugher is like me and is up between 4am-5am most mornings even at weekends, I try and get her to go back to sleep but she just lies there with eyes wide open, telling me she thinks that there are 10 imaginary spiders in her room.

There is nothing wrong with him i have 2 year old nephew that would not sleep until after 11 pm then gets up at 7 am sharp. At times he wake up during the night. uggh, They are just growing their sleep pattern are out of wack. His body will adjust. Please no sleeping pills.
