JOHANNESBURG ISOLATION SITE

This temporary site in Nasrec is going to be able to deal with isolation and quarantining, and (if needed) will be able to put up also almost 250 to 300 bedded ICU or hospital beds required.

The provincial health minister Bandile Masuku gave journalists a tour of the make-shift facility on Tuesday, which was divided into numerous units, with a completed one comprising of a bed, a sink, a television and a shower.

"We can build exponentially as the need requires. We pray that the need never requires us to get to a high level"

We want to have structures we will be able to use after the pandemic, not structures we are going to destroy,"

This is the most highly infectious disease I believe I'll ever see in my lifetime. The speed it moved around the world is still a mystery.

See the distance between the beds, unlike our Nigerian isolation center especially that of Kano. Person cough or sneeze na your face e go land straight, no any social distance at all.

Indeed. Good Covid protocol should always be followed, otherwise the quarantine is useless.

They're treating Covid, not TB. It's not airborne. They just need to keep sterilising the place. And I'm sure they installed hospital type air purifiers.

I just checked it out. It looks pretty nice with the blue and white combination. Still looks like a medical facility though. The SA one is meant to make people feel like its home.
