So whats the story? I am not a car dealer, I bought this baby for myself, to take my son to and from school. No better safety record than Volvo, right? This is a Great car, just completed a comprehensive maintenance at a Volvo dealer in Atlanta, because I wanted to get it all done before it ships out. Volvo recommends a new timing belt at 105K miles, and even though this car is at 90K miles, I got it done anyway, bloody expensive, but worth it!!

New Timing Belt and Tensioner;
New Spark Plugs and Ignition Coils;
Transmission Serviced and Flushed;
Brake Fluid Flushed;
New Brake Rotors;
New Fuel Pump;
All Fluids changed;
New Battery;
New wipers for Windshield and Head lights;

Why do you need to know all this? You are getting practically a brand spanking new engine! It is the non-turbo engine, so easier to maintain. Just get your regular service at a reputable shop. I would be happy to add some maintenance parts - filters, plugs and synthetic oil for free!

Why all the repairs? I don't want to take a chance on local mechanics, who are in my opinion, better for simple maintenance.
So if it looks even remotely questionable, I have given the Volvo dealer a mandate to replace! I will after all, keep this car if it does not sell in 6 weeks.

It is a snowy day in Atlanta today, all businesses shut down, all roads shut down!
Tomorrow, this baby gets new tires (tyres). Quite possibly Michelins, Yokohamas, or Dunlops.
