Pls between E300 2018 and C300 2016 which should I go for in terms of no manufacturer defect, luxury, speed, parts readily available and engine........

The E300 and C300 cannot be compared in any way, The E300 is luxury redefined and you are going for a 2018 model which has a powerful engine and artistic dashboard. My Advice to you is to Take the 2018 E300 and run!

E300

C300 is too compact
E300 is too full sized

C300 is agile giving better performance and fuel economy
E300 is bogus and having nearly same drive train with the C making the E slower

The exterior design is nearly the same with C looking sportier
The interior design is clearly better on the E with a larger entertainment screen and instruments screen.

I see both as the same car with minor changes that personal preference will decide.

I prefer a sportier, less bogus car like the C class. So C is my pick.

Their major difference is the size, transmission and Dashboard. You get more legroom and boot space with E and get 9 speed vs 7 then a larger screen.

If you are tall and carry passengers, there will be little room for an average person behind the drivers seat in the C class.

If am not wrong, they both have same engine except for transmission.

One looks sporty and the other looks executive. The choice is urs.

Both of them are slow, try and find a c400 or e400. They may be harder to come across, but worth it in my opinion

Get the E300. The powertrain is very reliable. The 2015/2016 C class had a lot of recalls for randomly catching Fire and it has some funny useless unreliable electronic gismos. The E300 is much better built.

E300 is a newer model and an advanced model (although depending on the year)

Oga no talk wetin u no sabi...C300 is a lovely car to behold...its more faster fuel efficient, pocket friendly and all...E300 is more luxurious, it has a lower horsepower than the C class and bros trust me if it develops a serious fault just be ready to cough out good cash...

I am talking from experience cos I use a 2015 c300 and a 2017 E300

There's no cheap Mercedes to own. The 2015 c300 had a lot of recalls for randomly catching fire. This fact is readily available on the internet. How does the e300 have a lower horsepower than the c300 when both cars use the exact same engine.

I am a Mercedes Benz mechanic between and have worked and gotten tired of those cars above. I still maintain the w213 e300 is a more reliable car to buy.

True that...but what u ommited is that c300 2016 does not fall into the category of c classes that was recalled in 2015 and the fact that a group of cars of a particular brand are recalled doesn't make the car less efficient or less powerful...the only problem a c300 has is the piston and sleeves and dis happens wen u use fake mobil 1 to service it...I spent about 300k changing mine sometime in December 2019 and it has run perfectly since...same thing happened to my E300 and I was charged 2m to rectify it...

They both run on 241 hp...so Y pay more for a 2018 E300 wen u can get same power on a 2016 c300

True though the more luxurious the car the more expensive to fix. A mid level BMW 5 series and a base 7 series almost at all times come with the same options but it costs way more to fix on the 7 series than on the 5 series.
