Java is the most secure,robust,vercitile Programming Language out there you cant compare it to php,c sharp,VB etc infact they are all trying to copy Java. Its a trend setter and a pace setter. And its the core of computing, IT and the entire internet rest on programmes even your mobile devices I Pads, BlackBerries. The importance of Programming can not be over emphasised and as we get deeper into da information technology age everything is getting more and more automated and less human hands are required which in turn means some Jobs will be extinct for Good. Take for example the road side mechanic, his job is slowly but surely fading away because cars of today are getting more automated and electrical, they come with IP Addresses embeded in their central mainframes somewhere in the car for tracking incase of theft and remote diagnoses incase the car breaks down in da middle of nowhere, if its an electrical issue its fixed from the manufacturers probably thousands of miles away or if its mechanical the faulty parts are pin pointed and all the Driver has to do is by another and replace.
