Engineering construction giant, Rodnab Construction Limited , has been commended for “consistently maintaining requisite high operational standards in line with global best practices”.

This was contained in a statement addressed to the Managing Director, Engr. Hossam by The Ijaw Conscience and Accountability Foundation (ICAF) , a non-governmental organization, comprising of highly-rated personnels from Ijaw Nation and the Niger Delta region at large.

According to the statement, Hossam has made countless contributions to the industry in Nigeria, adding that he has “demonstrated a high level of professional discipline, honesty and transparency in the discharge of his official duties as Managing Director of Rodnab Construction Limited ”.

The foundation further stated that Hossam’s professional and career antecedent represents a clear testimony that he is a man of integrity.

Promising to offer Rodnab all the necessary support it requires, the foundation also noted how “impressed they are with the operational standards of Rodnab in handling the construction of the Niger Delta Development Commission's headquarters in Port Harcourt, Rivers State, Nigeria after it assessed its activities, which revealed that they are “in line with best practices”.

Meanwhile, Hossam who is a fellow of the Institute of Engineering expressed his gratitude to the Foundation for their kind and encouraging words for Rodnab Construction Limited on the merit, saying that it was with a deep sense of honour and privilege that he received the Statement of Commendation from the Foundation, which it has since published on the company's website.

"My Chairman, Mr. Peetan and the entire team of Rodnab have been on this task with patriotic sense and best of engineering practices to make it a successful completion, and they are particularly encouraged with your commendation today" Said Hossam.

It would be recalled, that Messers Rodnab Construction Limited got the contract award, after The FEC approved the re-award of the project and this paved way for NDDC to engage Rodnab after a bidding process. The company fulfilled all the requirements before a letter of re-award was issued to them.

Hassam maintained that the scope of work for the new contract included the completion of the 13-floor main building, the four-floor ancillary building, as well as the external works and assured that this is nearing completion as work is ongoing.

In his speech, the Head of the Foundations Intergrity and Social Management, Dr. Owuje Jaja ssured the company that the foundation and the entire Niger Deltans would give it all the support necessary to ensure that the project was completed expeditiously, warning that the foundation has never compromised on quality and adherence to the approved designs, hence their desire to encourage Rodnab who has not only kept to the contract terms, but has adhered to the approved designs and best engineering practices.

The Rodnab boss appealed to the host community to continue to cooperate with the company, noting that development was a gradual process and that if the NDDC headquarters moves to this place, it will open up a lot of business opportunities for the communities around here and as well encourage the internal revenue generated in the community, he said.
