Hello Nairalanders,

What is your advise for couples who have neighbours (sharing same apartment and street neighbours) and are expecting their babies during the lockdown?

How can they possibly control visits without putting their lives and that of their babies at risk?

@Lala, I am glad u know how important this is smiley Front page Pleassssssssseeee!

They should close their doors to visitors na. Most importantly, they should ensure they use adequate PPE.

Worry about how to take care of the child and his mother not your fear of the unseen....

The advice is simple. Nobody should touch nor move near the baby expect the mother, the father can be attending to the visitors, he must wash and sanitizer his hands regularly. There is no need for elaborate naming ceremony, the mother, father, 2 relations and a pastor is enough to do the naming.

Don’t bother controlling visits, just cancel.
Simply tell them not to be offended, you are practising social distancing so not having visitors right now.
This is a highly contagious disease. The risk of catching Covid19 far outweighs any certainty that someone would take offence. The money they’ll give mother and child would not be enough to stop the disease.
With the growing number of cases in Nigeria and the world, anyone that loves their life shouldn’t have to be reminded but people still take silly risks.
