To have any movement, you must have convictions. Without convictions, you cannot sustain a movement neither can you remain a part of it. As a pastor, you must have convictions based on the principles of God’s.
A conviction is a mental attitude. When you’re convicted about your beliefs, you are controlled and compelled by it and all your actions are based on it because it inundates your whole mental attitude.
A man or woman with convictions will never watch whatever he or she is involved with remain at the same level or fluctuate for a prolonged period of time. If you thought you had convictions and this has been your experience, you’ve assumed wrongly; what you have are not yet convictions. If you really had convictions, you’d be constantly propelled by them and never find yourself in such a situation.
If you are a Christian (The one who is recreated in Christ Jesus i.e. born again), you can’t possibly be convicted about this message and relax while watching whatever you are involved with be it a Church, business, job, etc remain the same. It’s impossible to have convictions and coast at the same time.
The reason a Christian will continue to share God’s word and improve the works of his/her hands will have to be because of his/her conviction. All over the world Christians are daily increasing their coverage and spheres of influence because they are convicted about the Gospel.
