I remembered when pastor Adeboye said we should pray against fire and flood, that we haven't seen anything yet. Some people on this forum were spewing trash against the man of God.

Even if Jesus had appeared to some people to tell them somethings, they won't believe.

May God have mercy on us.
Obviously it should happen and even get worse cos this is the way things are in the country.. Carelessly done!

Not cos of your bishop said it..

Abeg get some sense.. I just don't like quoting your kinds..

Your pastor said you would die, then believe u gonna die.

Almighty God can never share His glory with anyone

Copy dat!

Nigeria is more of a reactive country than a proactive country.

What is NNPC petrol station doing very close to Residential and Commercial buildings ?

Secondly, A 3 digit or unique phone number of police and fire service should be at the finger tip of every Nigerians incase of emergency like this. In the states the number is 911.... In Nigeria what is the number ? If telecommunication companies can have such customer care numbers like 111, 180, 121 etc, why can't the security agencies have it?

15 minutes after the fire incidence started, people were busy forwarding broadcast on WhatsApp and other social media, even the op created the thread calling for attention of fire service.

We need to re strategise and get it right for once.
May be you don't know, there is efficient and effective 112 emergency number in Nigeria, if you call the line with an emergency, they dispatch your case to appropriate agency to handle it instantly, I have a brother working in the Akure 112 emergency call center operated by NCC.

A truck was offloading fuel
Have they found out the cause of the explosion?
It could even be just a tiny spark that resulted in this.

Not yet,all the staff came out before the fire escalated. But they couldn't go near because it was the truck delivering fuel that caught fire. They hard a very extinguisher but the guy was too far from the fire. So the fire spread to the underground petrol safe, which made everyone to loose hope and run

If it's the underground fuel tank that's burning, all they need to do is to close the lid. Once air is out of the equation, the fire will dissipate.
