It has been more than 30yrs this catarrh has been disturbing me. I could say I started noticing it when I was in primary school(maybe before that). I usually feel the drop from the top of my nose and down. to prevent it getting into my mouth I will therefore sniff so that the mucus can rest in my nose and after it accumulates I will now blow it for my nose to be cleared again.the mucus comes like every 15-20 seconds or more.if i don't sniff just as the mucus comes out it will be dropping in my mouth n I have to be spitting repeatedly and that will be stressful. If u are close to me n hear me sniffing repeatedly u may think I have asthma but I don't.I don't really know what's the cause or the name of this illness, please any one with remedy should assist am already fed up with it..thank you

Do u bath with cold water?
Do u drink cold water/drinks always?
Do u normally get affected more when u inhale dust?
Do u smoke?
Do u sleep in AC?
Do u consume ice in excess?

What u have has a cure. All u gotta do is maintain a balanced immune system. And change ur lifestyle.

At least when u start having it once a month, u will agree with me, u r getting better.

Then get to a hospital, u may have ASTHMA ( a rare type) .

I think you should try going for a test so that the right and strong antibiotic will be prescribed to you. Had a classmate like that when I was in primary school but later on in sec school I saw him and he told me he went for tests and was giving some antibiotics and he used it judiciously and got better.

Visit any ENT specialist. I had similar case too for like 25 years. I used to take actifed to dry the mucus. I stopped taking actifed when I read it could damage my liver. I visited one specialist in Surulere and it stopped. Now, I only have running nose when I am having malaria or when I take too much cold water.

Op have you tried loratidine? It should be available in any pharmacy near you.
I am allergic to some things I am yet to discover and my body system reacts to those things by having catarrh. Loratidine has been very very helpful. Take a lot of Vitamin C too.
You need to consult your physician too
