Yes, this is possible because Abia State University, (ABSU) has the best Department of Optometry in West Africa. more reason reason Igbos dominate that area because of its geographical location.

ABSU is widely known for Optometry.

Ibo this, Hausa that, Yoruba this. You do realise there are more than 500 other tribes in this Limited PLC called Nigeria right? Not forgetting that the so called IBOS/HAUSAS/YORUBAS sold out Nigeria to the highest bidder while pretending to liberate Nigeria from the British. Shame on you and these 3 tribes could burn in hell for all I care!

Good to know

Igbos still dominate pharmacy too.
Majority of Nigerian Doctors who migrate outside ar also Igbos
Igbos also have the highest number of medical Doctors in Nigeria.

But what's the essence of being an optometrist when u can run simple operation in d eyes simply because Nigerian law do not permit u to do that y their counterpart outside the country operates the eyes.
Nigerian govt should allow Nigerian optometrists to run eye operations
