The spread was contained till a case was recorded in the North, then it boomeranged.
Imagine Kano and Borno having more 20 deaths combined with no recovery recorded.
The north pulling us back, please seal the north/south border.
May God heal Nigeria, heal the world.

The border should have been closed when the first index case was recorded in Lagos... The North would've been at peace by now.

Eye protection is a bonus. If everyone is on their face masks nothing from their mouth will get into your eyes.

Thank you for this comment sir, i kept on wondering why is so much emphasis placed on face mask instead of gloves and face mask.

Well, face masks is the major protection against spreading the disease. Gloves are added protection. I personally put on gloves because I can't bank on the fact that surfaces are free of the virus. And in one careless moment one can take his hands into their eyes or nose. I think people don't understand that risk.

Thank you very much for your sincere analysis, I think the government and the National orientation Agency needs to do more to educate people that it's not all face mask alone because we touch all of things, right from the door knob, car door, handshake and different stuffs.

God ooo....

They should add number of tests conducted so that we can know the true picture.

A reduced test capacity will definitely show lower figures and this might not be the true reflection of the realities on ground

Test yesterday showed a rise of just over 1000 from previous day. The infection rate is approximately ( rough math) 10% of people tested. Extrapolated into population of 200m we are looking at plus 200,000 infections at the peak - if there is no change the current death rate is 3.4% of population tested or 6800 assuming the entire country tested which obviously is not possible.

This is really fuzzy maths because the infection rate can go up or down. The mathematicians here can do the exact science. Bros this is a lot of deaths even at this somewhat dubious infection rate.

This means that out of every 6 Nigerians that test positive to covid 19 , approximately 5 survives and 1 dies.
This data is very scary.

Do you know that it's easier not to tough your mouth and nose than your eye. People easily tough their eye when it itches, its more like sneezing.

Sometimes people don't understand what they are trying to claim.

Don't be surprised that if Lagos State or FCT especially, reveal the state of origin of some of the infected persons, you would be shocked by the region who would have the highest number in terms of state of origin of the infected patient.
Add the numbers now to what their present state of birth are having, then you will understand it's not about the region but Nigerians who are infected.

If you see number of infected person based on their State of origin and not base on place of residence, most of you would be shocked and stop tribalizing this pandemic ravaging all of us.

So let us not start bringing Tribal sentiment to this as some have already started.

I'm from the South South where atleast one state is not yet infected presently, but I see this fight as a collective effort for all Nigerians.

God bless Nigeria!!!

Na only you make a reasonable comment...
Lagos and Abuja are complaining of lack of test...

I doubt if they conducted up to a thousand tests yesterday
