Writing of composition is designed to test the candidate’s ability to use English as an effective means of communication in a given situation. This section of part 1 in English Language examination carries 120 marks but unfortunately many students fail to score a single mark. It has become a national calamity. The government is worried; parents are disappointed and frustrated, while many students stay many years at home without gaining admission into institutions of higher learning because of failure in this subject.
