xpmode: Reports reaching The Street Journal say a riot broke out this morning at Lekki, Lagos as security men on patrol in Lekki Phase 1 were attacked by Hausa commercial motorcyclists. The security officials were at their duty post at Kayode Animashaun this morning when about 20 armed men with sticks and nails stormed the area and carried out an attack leaving the security officials terribly injured. The Divisional Police Officer and Sherrifs of Lekki Residents Association (LERA) arrived the scene of the attack a while ago. The reason behind the attack could not be ascertained as at the time of filing this report. However, officials at the Maroko Police Station are currently investigating the case.
