#COVID-19 Update:

... As govt gives details of one new case

The Enugu State Ministry of Health announces that five (5) COVID-19 confirmed positive cases in the state have tested negative and consequently discharged from the isolation and treatment centres.

However, one more positive case has been confirmed in the state.

Total number of cases for Enugu State is now 19, with 6 active cases and 13 discharged.

The new COVID-19 patient (Case 19) is a 40 year old female, who hails from Igbo-Etiti LGA of Enugu State and returned home from Lagos State in violation of the restriction order on inter-state movement.

The State Ministry of Health with massive support from the Governor, His Excellency, Rt. Hon. Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi and the State Executive Council (EXCO), has continued to provide treatment for the existing cases, respond to emergency alerts, carry out contact tracing and follow up on suspects.

The directives of the Federal and Enugu State governments and the public health advisories of the Federal Ministry of Health, the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, and the Enugu State Ministry of Health, remain as important as ever and should be strictly adhered to.

Stay home when it is not absolutely necessary to go out.

Wear a facemask/covering whenever you must go out

Keep a safe distance from other people at all times, which is social/physical distancing and avoid crowded places.

Practice good respiratory hygiene (when coughing or sneezing)

Clean surfaces with a 1 in 6 concentration of bleach and water.

Wash your hands with soap for 20 seconds under running water as often as possible.

And when facilities for hand washing are unavailable, sanitize your hands as often as possible using an alcohol based hand sanitizer.

When You do these, you protect me, and when I do these, I protect you.

Let us Stay Safe!

Signed
Dr. Obi Emmanuel Ikechukwu
Commissioner for Health, Enugu State.

Enugu State is in the hands of God!

cool

Democrats CongressMen headed by Speaker Nancy pelosy would had used the HR bill to further make Corona testing more wide spread but Crazy trump wouldn't ascent to the Bill

Just imagine if Nigerian Government also make such law allowing Private hospitals and clinic set up testing facilities to test covid 19, Nigerians would have the true figure of the testing except relying on outdated public institution for testing

how exactly can a State like Enugu with international Airport linking many countries of the world claim to have only one covid 19 positive case in 24 hours? or is Corona truly a hoax in Nigeria or we are under testing?

Ok Enugu is trying its best, but lawless Nigerians would always break simple rules, still sneaking around the states for now, tomorrow they tell you our leaders are the problem, not knowing that citizens too are even worse than leaders..
