There is an adage that since the hunter has learned to shoot without missing, the bird has learned to fly without perching. So it is that these scammers have banded together to defraud unsuspecting, innocent citizens of their hard earned money during this period.

The scammers have evolved beyond posting personal messages to various Facebook accounts and waiting for any victim that might come along. The have created a business name COASTAL CHARITY INVESTMENT GROUP, claiming they are associated with GTB, STANBIC IBTC, A-Z OIL COMPANY, and a host of other reputable companies. Its supposed owner’s name is Mr. Damian, and the unnamed admins are THE FACILITY and THE JUPITER. The site promises to double ones money in 72 hours; and, for first timers, they will be on promo where their monies will be paid back thrice in 24 hours.

On the page wall will be pasted supposed credit alerts from their fellow scammers, followed by post from their cohorts praising the fraudulent company. As soon as a victim(s) shows interest, all three named persons will beginning singing it’s praises, assuring the victim they in safe hands. The victim will be asked to PM any of the three persons. In the PM, the victim will be asked to provide ” BANK NAME, ACCOUNT NAME, ACCOUNT NUMBER, PHONE NUMBER, and, AMOUNT” to be invested. The victim will be asked to paste the proof on the site’s wall to convince other victims.

Upon providing all the details, the victim will be given the account details below to make payment. NOTE: The account details is not that of the supposed company but an individual account.


After all said and done, the victim would be waiting for the supposed double, or three times, money, all while imagining what and how he/she will spend the money. Lo and behold as the promised time elapses, the victim is unceremoniously removed from the fraudulent ‘platform’ so as not to discourage other unsuspecting victims.

Help spread the word, so everyone will be on his or her guard against these thieves. These are the lots who give our dear country a bad reputation.
