During a random night raiding in Ibadan by men of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission nearly 20 internet scammers were caught.

The fraudsters are indigenes of Ogun and Osun state, and they met their night call and were nabbed by the EFCC and were taken into custody in Ibadan.

According to the anti-crime agency, the suspected yahoo boys have faced panels in the federal high court in Abeokuta and were sentenced to several jail terms degrees for impersonation.

Impersonation on the internet has surged over the years in Nigeria as confirmed by the EFCC.

The names of the convicts released by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission include Oni Temidayo Victor, Ejiro Daniel, Kashimo Toheeb, Olalekan Jamiu, Ikegbunam Chukwuemeka, Yusuf Ayuba, Aladejobi Adeshola, Maja Toheeb.
