COVID-19: Nigera’s Cases Surpass 20,000 by InvisibleWriter: 10:14am On Jun 22, 2020
As the COVID-19 pandemic wreck havocs around the globe, Nigeria had on Sunday night crossed the grim 20,000 mark. Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) in their daily situation report indicated that 436 new cases were recorded for the day; taking the total tally to 20,244 with 6,879 discharged so far and 518 deaths.

The total sample tested in the country as at Sunday night stood at 113,575. The south-western state of Lagos leads in the number of infections in the country with 8,576 confirmed cases followed by the Capital, Abuja with 1,567 cases.

Cross River State remains the only state with no confirmed case in the country while Kogi has the least number of confirmed infected persons so far with 3 reported cases.
