Since the outbreak of Covid19 in the country, they've been series of lockdown in states around the country. Inter-state
movement have been restricted to essential goods and services.

Citizens have been given guidelines to follow to limit the spread of the virus. but over 4 months into the lockdown the NCDC has only been able to test a little over 100000 people. The country isn't set to open until we reach the peak and cases start reducing.

The NCDC are doing a very bad job, because we test a little above 2000 people a day, this is very poor. If we are going to get to the peak we should be doing at least a 100000 test per day. We look at countries counting over 10000 cases per day and we think we have it better here. It ain't better here. countries having high number of cases per day are able to locate the carriers and isolate them quickly, as soon as possible. so they can move on with their lives..

At 2k test per day, it's equivalent to NCDC doing nothing, at this rate we'll never reach the peak. We'll keep getting 600 & 500 cases per day even till d end of the year. That means our lives won't return to normal soon.

2k test per day assuming we've been doing that from January to December is just above #700k Una country of over 200 million people that's very poor..

The NCDC will have to increase testing capacity greatly if we are to go back to our normal lives..

It's the typical Nigerian factor. What has Nigeria ever taken seriously before covid. At this point all states should have had its own testing facility. Imagine 4 months after over 20 states don't have test centres. Government has just shown they're ready for us to be in this mess till the next year. Are Nigerians even ready? Are people willing to get tested? Are they even trying? Why are we acting like the epidemic is over? Why are state governments eg Kogi not allowing ncdc carry out its functions. I can us still recording 600+ daily cases till December. Only issue now is not becoming part of that statistic sad.

So many questions about our covid response that just says we aren't ready. Like how they just drop figures and call it a day, without providing details concerning the numbers. Honestly they should just disband the task force cos it's becoming useless. Everyday just coming to scold stubborn Nigerians angry angry
