The news of a Nigerian man stabbing his wife to death and then committing suicide by drinking sniper circulated the internet. It was reported that both of them were married and had just moved into Victory Park Estate in Lekki three weeks ago.

Bala Elkana, a spokesperson to the Lagos state police, said their corpses were retrieved after the incident transpired on Sunday.

"I can confirm to you that it happened. We have moved the corpse of the man and that of his wife for autopsy. She was found in the pool of her own blood,” Elkana told TheCable Lifestyle.

“The kitchen knife used was recovered. And we also recovered two bottles of sniper which the man is suspected to have used because foams were also coming out of his mouth.

We gathered from a reliable source, a friend of the lady, who spoke in anonymity that both of them were never married. He claimed the guy was a cultist and was very abusive to the lady.


In a voice note he sent, he claimed that both of them were never married, and the lady got pregnant for the guy while she was studying at the University of Lagos. he further stated that they had planned for their introduction but the guy never showed up due to a slight misunderstanding he had with the lady prior to the set date.

Our source debunked the news circulating the internet that he killed the lady because of a failed paternity test of their second child.

It's just not ordinary.
Unfortunately, no suicide note was dropped.
Everything is based on assumption.
A cultist just means his a hardened guy, hence he could easily commit murder.
But why commit suicide?
