How I Was Defrauded By One Helen Johnson by Sancto2: 1:24pm On Jun 30, 2020
We met through FB and she introduced herself as a custom officer. On the 15th of June I traveled to Lagos to get a car from her because she claimed that custom is auctioning cars at seme. She said that I should transfer 100k through the account no: 3112912955, a first Bank account belonging to one Ayo Israel. She said that the money is for her to process PASS so that I will be able to come to their office at seme. After transferring the money she stopped picking my calls. The numbers I used in communicating her were 08163150847 which bears the name Helen Johnson, 08141778698 (Melody) and 07033643229 (Negi). All these transactions took place on the 15th of June 2020. I'm posting this so that others will not fall victim

So you didn't even know or meet him/her one on one before but you were so fast to transfer money to the person? At times, greed and desperation could cause our downfall.

Meanwhile,if you have full details of the transaction including the chats and call log, hit any of the bank branches and request to see head of customer service in charge of fraud, table the matter there and do necessary follow up.

Only greedy people fall for this outdated cheap Custom auction scam.
If there must be auction, Custom usually publishes it on the national dailies, not on Facebook and secondly the modalities are clearly spelt.
Re: How I Was Defrauded By One Helen Johnson by Jlow2: 2:26pm On Jun 30, 2020
this re the kind of pple DAT will even tell the scammer to bring down the auction advert, so that he will buy first, not knowin he is finished

OP, you're wiser now. Take heart and live with the result. You can chase the matter using the police, but if that doesn't work just know you won't fall for the same scam a second time.

i doubt there is a "her" involved. Ayo Israel is most likely the MAN you have been talking to all this while.
When it sounds too good to be true, it probably is. be careful o

The scammer's bank. Your ability to prove with the charts that that money belongs to you will make the bank to freeze his account and he will be apprehended.
Good luck.

The scammer's bank you paid the money into. Show proofs of transactions and all evidences you could present regarding the matter. If taken very seriously, the account will be blocked and the owner invited to the bank for clarity.
