The arrest of the number one spy-person in Nigeria, Ibrahim Magu by now is no longer news or false news as some quarters puts it few days ago.

Ibrahim Magu was arrested on Monday on his way to office on charges of corruption, money laundering and misappropriation of funds.

The gravity of Magu’s crimes is the kind that while he is still under investigation, he was been replaced with Bala Ciroma.

But Who Bala Ciroma?

Bala Ciroma is a Muslim and hails from Yobe state, Ciroma has a Bachelor of Science degree in Geography from the University of Maiduguri in 1988.

According to records, Ciroma is said to have demonstrated a penchant for diligence in the over 25 years he has been in the police. He was between 2012 and 2013, the Deputy Commissioner of Police, Operations, FCT Command, and Assistant Commissioner of Police, IGP Monitoring Unit, Force Headquarters Abuja.

It is also on record that Mr. Ciroma has spent time between 2011 and 2012 as Assistant Commissioner of Police, CID, Kano State Command, and from 2004 to 2008; he was Head of Operations at the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).

Recall that former IG, Ibrahim idris on Tuesday the 26th of June 2018, deployed Mr. Bala Ciroma Commissioner of Police Plateau State Police Command.

Bala was charged with the mandate of restoring peace and order to Plateau state immediately and stop the random killings.

Bala Ciroma is known as an intelligent and shrewd crack detective who has also served as Deputy Commissioner of Police in the Criminal Intelligence and Investigation Department (CIID) of the FCT Police Command in Abuja.

At another time, Ciroma was the Deputy Commissioner of Police in-charge of Welfare in the Finance and Administration Department at the Force Headquarters, Abuja.
