I'd suggest you see an engineer or better still you change the engine oil....its bad I guess, speaking from experience

i believe what you see might be steam therefore there is nothing wrong with your engine o. First thing you get to see until the engine temperate heats up

check the exhaust for condense water to confirm

Not steam, it's smoke bcus i normally raise it.

most times I stick to mobil1 and do not change....changing of oil too could cause damages to engines especially if not completely drained (that's my thought anyway)

I'm pretty sure your engine requires 0W-40.

If that, it could be the usual steam from combustion reaction. Observe the car during normal acceleration to see whether it lets off blue-ish smoke.

Assumptions; high mileage and as a consequence, worn engine components primarily the engine seals, which will cause oil to get into the engine cylinders, which will mix with the petrol and produce that smoke.

Very common with high mileage vehicles particularly when there have been shortcuts taken with oil changes and quality of oil.

In a colder temperature climate 5/20 but in hot tropical Nigeria 5/30 and of course fully synthetic and definitely from a reputable source.

Jesu. Is that the capacity of that vehicle. A vehicle that takes 8.5L of oil, you put an excess of 1.5L. Then used an unknown oil. Just go and remove that oil. Replace with 8.5L of a know quality brand.

You are found of using the wrong oil on vehicles. That was how in 2018 you said OANDO DEXRON 111 is the oil you used for the gearbox of an Acura MDX u posted for sale

OP just used the wrong viscosity grade oil.

There's nothing wrong with the brand or the oil manufacturer.

If it's a blue smoke ... Then that is problem, your engine is worn , I suggest that you buy a Boralle or half engine...that's the truth

If it's black smoke, then it's rich burning, check your injector

If it's steam, then your engine is good

A couple people have nailed the answer above. Your valve stem seals are worn. Blue smoke is a clear sign that your engine is burning oil. Your valve guide seals are likely worn or broken causing oil leakage that is flowing into the combustion chamber, then the oil is burnt together with the fuel creating blue smoke. An engine has valves that open and close mechanically by pressure from a rocker arm to let air and fuel come into the engine. These valves also let the exhaust gas out of the engine after the combination of air and fuel has been burnt. Oil covers the top of the valves where the rocker arm applies pressure. Valve seals normally prevent the oil from flowing into the engine. If the seals are worn or broken (Do you hear a rattling noise at startup?), the oil will come into the engine and pool after sitting for a while and is burnt along with air and fuel causing blue smoke on startup. Another culprit for blue smoke at startup is worn piston seals, piston wear, intake manifold gasket leak, faulty PDF valve etc.
