Former US President, Barack Obama's twitter account was hacked about 30 minutes ago (10:15 Nigerian time) by internet fraudsters, according to Nigerian Twitter user @Obasi_Chinedu.

The fraudsters responsible for the hack, upon gaining access to the account requested followers to send Bitcoins to a specified account and would get back double of what was sent, as his means of giving back to the society due to the Covid-19 meltdown..

according to the blockchain, unsuspecting persons have sent in bitcoins valued at Not less than $7 million.

It should be noted that prominent persons in the world such as Elon Musk, Bill gates (Microsoft), Uber, Jeff Bezoos (Amazon) and Kayne West have also had their account hacked as well.

Twitter hasn't said anything yet about the security breach in the system, but its time for everyone of us to be careful of financial transactions on social media, especially those involving prominent persons.
