Pastors of nowadays teach that God is to blame for our suffering but yet the Bible at Job34:10 and James 1:13,14 clearly disagrees with that teaching? What's your take on this?

Money making strategy nah!

You're suffering because God is angry with you, so to be relieved from such suffering, you need to go meet the priests (Pastors) who will help you offer sacrifices (prayer and fasting) to God in exchange for what is in your pocket.
That's why their God is OK with Yahoo plus boys because they're paying their dues (tithes) incessantly! cheesy

That is the strategy of making you never leave your comfort zone in poverty permanent.

It’s all about the money and the game of numbes

Because fear is a very good motivator. Once you believe their claim of God, you are bound to believe anything else they say.

But may the God of all grace, who called us to His eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after you have suffered a while, perfect, establish, strengthen, and settle you.

Hello everyone I will try and share my little knowledge about the aforementioned topic.

1. God does not inflict suffering on any man, no way. The bible states that in the book of James. When any man is tempted let him not say it is of God....

2. When you use the word PUNISH. Are you using it in regards to committing sin or living a sinful

There are consequences for every of our action. We all must take note of that. If you want to go ahead and live a life of sin, be ready to bear the consequences of your action.

So obeying God is for our good not for Gods benefit.

God wants us to obey his commandments and live a godly because he wants us live a life of purpose on earth.

Lastly you cannot say you are a Christian and live in sin. It's not possible.

Then you need to pick up the book of Job and read it as many times as it will take for you to learn the lesson contained about God inflicting suffering on those He chooses.
AristocraticMe:

As in suffering feels a lot like punishment... particularly worse when you don't even know the reason for the suffering or the why of the punishment, if at all.
AristocraticMe:
Here is an explanation to that - Obeying the commandments of God or living a Godly life is for our benefit, not for God....... living a Godly keeps you out of the reach of the devil, you get direction from God because he will always speak to you and your ways shall be prosperous... (It does not mean there wont be problems, as problems are part of life) but living a Godly life guarantees you that you will always be victorious in life.....
[quote author=AristocraticMe post=92470095]Now living a life away from Gods commandment and just living an ungodly life opens you up to the devil, Remember the devil is like roaring lion looking for who to devour..... so living an ungodly life opens you to the devil for devouring, for destruction ,and that leads to a.lost of destiny and purpose in life....
There is no such thing as lost destiny or purpose in life... that is an untrue belief and has little bearing on what is written in the bible.
AristocraticMe:
So obeying God is for our good not for Gods benefit.
God wants us to obey his commandments and live a godly because he wants us live a life of purpose and purpose on earth
Again, God has nothing to do with our concepts of purpose or destiny... in fact those ideas came from the infusion of worldly concepts into the already tainted doctrines of Christianity.

If God wanted us to live a life according to a purpose we choose for self, then why did Jesus step in to say that if you want to be His follower, you must abandon all who you are(including your desires, dreams, possessions, reputation etc.)in order to become His follower?

Saul of Tarsus likely believed He had a great place as a Sadducee, and he was on his way to living that life of purpose that he had in mind for himself, had God not interrupted His plans. What did God have him do instead? God had him become an apostle, one out of many, taking His gospel to the world, like so many others during that time. Paul was impaled by a sword... that was the end of his life but God's Will continued even after he was long gone.
I am not trying to depress anyone as far as God is concerned. What I am instead trying to say is that the world's ideas and views should not be mistaken for God's teachings.

Thats not true. Which Pastor said so. Adeboye, oyedepo, oyakhilome, kumuyi, enenche, ?

The enemy of Man Satan is responsible for evil. Christ has given us dominion over evil by faith in his blood . Every man is responsible for his life by yielding to God or the devil
