In contrast to what some of us choose to believe, happiness is a choice. It isn’t something that we experience by the sheer stroke of luck. We can choose to remain happy by having more joyful, exhilarating and fulfiling experiences in our daily life.

What’s more, one doesn’t have to undertake a cross-country trip or book a cruise tour just to bring a smile to their face. There are ways using which we can find multiple things in our daily routine that could bring joy to our faces. All we have to do, then, is to make time for those things.

Here’s how we can do that:

#1: Be with those who make you happy
Seems like a no-brainer, right? Your hunch is proved by studies that show that we’re likely to be at our happiest when we are around those people who are also joyful. Perhaps that’s because the attitude of others rubs off on us.

Regardless of the reason as to why we are more likely to be happy when we are with others who have a smile on their face, one thing is for sure: we can experience more gratitude in our life if we spend time with persons who get the cheerful personality out of us. #2: Enjoy the simple pleasures of life
In times like these where nothing seems to be like it was even a year ago, this habit of basking in the simple pleasures of life is very crucial to follow. It will take your mind from things that are not supposed to work as you want to, and focus your attention on things that are.

For this reason, be thankful for those who love you, laugh at those treasured memories you created with your friends, smile at those silly jokes you see on social media and be thankful for the warm days and the clear, starry nights.
