Catholics call her the mother of God, you can call her the earthly mother of Jesus, but Jesus is God, so you can twist it and call her the Earthly mother of God, either ways you can't take away the honour due her. Denying this fact means you deny Jesus as God.

Given that even the protestant churches you have today are originally offshoots of the catholic church, I hope you do not imagine that as a former catholic, embracing one of the many protestant movement will give you the relief you seek from idolatry.

There's nothing you said here that justifies idols being made of Mary and being worship and prayed to as you catholics do even though she was the mother of Jesus. There's nothing wrong with respecting her as the mother of Jesus because that's what all these instances you gave here had shown, but worshipping and praying to God through her even though she be dead is an entirely different thing. It's idolatry in its purest form.

But your choice to go on worshipping and praying to the idol you've erected for yourselves (in the name of Jesus' mother) Inside the church, since that's gives you the excuse to continue with your idolatry, which is your inclination, inside the church.
