Toni Kroos admits Real Madrid’s players celebrated Barcelona’s Champions League humiliation last week.

Barca are now reeling after their 8-2 thrashing by Bayern Munich.

And Kroos revealed how Real’s players reacted amongst their Whatsapp group as the goals flew in.

“I can’t recall everything, but you can imagine that there was no pain,” he said. “There was the occasional malicious celebration.”

Kroos admits the reaction was similar when Barca were shocked by Roma in 2018.

He added: “People were running up and down in front of my room and screaming. I didn’t see it, but there must be other players (who watched). Everybody loves it that way here.”
