Eschatology!

Good day everyone!

Of the 22 doctrines, the last 8 deal with the last days events and their study is referred to as eschatology. It starts with the Rapture which will mark the beginning of the last days.

The four doctrines I shall briefly talk about are;
1. Christ's Millennial Reign
2. The Great White Throne Judgment
3. The New Heaven and the New Earth
4. Hell

CHRIST'S MILLENNIAL REIGN

Christ's Millennial Reign is a 1000 years literal reign of Jesus on earth, which will be ushered in by His coming back to the earth with saints He had resurrected, transformed and raptured seven years earlier (Isaiah 11:6-9).

It will be a reign of peace and blessing as the devil will no longer be free to forment trouble, but will be bound and cast into the 'bottomless pit" (Revelation 20:2,3).

The saints of God will reign with Christ on earth throughout this period. You need to prepare to be there. 1 John 3:3.

THE GREAT WHITE THRONE JUDGMENT

The Great White Throne Judgment is when God finally judges all the living and the dead, small and great according to their works. This is after the Millennium. All who have ever lived, except believers in Christ, will be judged at this time. The devil and his angels will be judged at this time also and sent to the lake of fire forever (Jude 1:6).

Christ's undeserved suffering and death was for us, and not for Himself. If you have repented of your sin and accepted Christ as your Lord and Saviour, He has been judged on your behalf (John 5:24).

However, you need to continue in His will till the end for this exchange to work for you. Backsliders and sinners who fail to repent will be judged and sent to hell. There is therefore no hope of salvation after this judgement.

THE NEW HEAVEN AND THE NEW EARTH

The New Heaven and the New Earth, where righteousness dwells, will be made by God and the redeemed shall dwell there with God forever.

This present earth which has been polluted by sin will pass away after the Great White Throne Judgment (2 Peter 3:10-13). No unclean thing will be there. We shall know each other there, our knowledge having been perfected.

There will be no more curse upon anything. There will be no more night; the glory of the Lord will be the light thereof (Revelation 21:1-7, 22:1-5).

In the New Heaven and the New Earth, all things will be new. No more tears, crying, curse, death, sorrow and pain. God Himself will dwell with men, be their God and give them the fountain of the water of life freely. Those who are there will reign with God forever.

It will be a wonderful place to be! I pray you will be there.

HELL

Hell fire is a place of everlasting punishment where sinners will suffer torments for ever and ever. It was prepared for the devil and his angels (Matthew 25:41), but God has decreed that the wicked and those who forget Him and reject Christ will also be cast there because of their sin and neglect of His offer of salvation (Psalm 9:27, Matthew 25:41,46).

The greatest way you can cheat yourself is to allow trivial sins of few years to make you share the same fate with Satan and demons who have been committing terrible sins since the dateless past.

Can you afford to be so unfair to yourself?
