Most Evangelist don't know how to present the gospel hence the trouble some of them fall into. The gospel is good news but they rather preach to condemn sinners. There is a manner and way you present the gospel that sinners will come crying asking God to forgive them. You don't expect sinners to forsake their sins and embrace Christ. They can't do it. It's the other way round. Tell them Jesus loves them the way they are and invite them to come to Jesus. When they come to Jesus, he will give them the ability to overcome sin.

I think our Evangelists needs training to avoid a reoccurrence of this kind of incident. In any case, he should rejoice for counting it worthy to suffer for the gospel sake. Even John the Baptist died early because he didn't present the gospel properly.
