Job Title: Business Development Executive
Location: Lagos


Role Overview
Due to a restructure in our team, we are hiring an additional Business Development Executive to
generate new businesses and establish new client base. To excel in this role, you should have a
compelling sales personality, and a hunger to chase and close new business from cold calls and
inbound warm leads. The appointees will report to the Head, Business Development. The candidate
must be a self -managed individuals with extensive business development experience to the general
business in the construction, Oil/Gas, manufacturing and/or services industry. He/she must ensure
Marketing efficiency and profitability

Responsibilities
o Generating Revenue from sales activities
o Contacting potential clients to establish rapport and arrange meetings.
o Planning and overseeing new marketing initiatives.
o Researching organizations and individuals to find new opportunities.
o Increasing the value of current customers while attracting new ones.
o Finding and developing new markets and improving sales.
o Attending conferences, meetings, and industry events.
o Developing goals for business growth and ensuring they are met.
o Research and identify new business opportunities
o Direct and co-ordinate activities involving sales of the company Products & Services
o Managing and retaining existing clients and developing new channels of business
o Job involves meeting and exceeding the company set target and increasing the company
cliental database
o Confer or consult with department head to plan advertising services and to secure
information on clients’ needs and customer specification
o Liaise with potential Customer regarding procurement, construction and other engineering
consulting/project needs and solutions
o Develop appropriate follow-up programs to ensure success of the proposal submitted.
o Generate business mandates from clients.
o Make presentations, and modifications on processes, to guarantee more efficient service
delivery for maintaining client relationship
o Any other function as may be directed by management.
o Identifies new business opportunities for business growth with both existing and potential
customers.
o Keeps up to date information and analysis about the company's product, services and
competition, using SWOT and other tools.
o Ensures that records are made and kept on details of inquiries, comments and complaints as
well as the actions taken.
o Ensures that all required customer meeting is scheduled, attended punctually and
documented.

Requirements
o Ability to work under pressure and tight reporting schedule.
o Good interpersonal skills with ability to work effectively in a team.
o Interested candidates must be comfortable with working in a target driven environment.
o Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing or related field.
o Must have minimum 2 years’ experience post NYSC in a marketing or administrative role
with tangible results to show
o Experience in sales, marketing especially in the engineering, construction and technical
services is an added advantage.
o Strong communication skills and IT fluency.
o Ability to manage complex projects and multi-task.
o Excellent organizational skills.
o Ability to flourish with minimal guidance, be proactive, and handle uncertainty.
o Proficient in Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
o Comfortable using a computer for various tasks.

Salary
o N80,000 - N120,000 based on experience.
