Real Madrid may have deemed Reguilón surplus to requirements in light of the emergence of Ferland Mendy as their first choice in the left-back position.

Sergio Reguilón joined the Real Madrid from Lyon last summer, and made 25 appearances as Real went on to lift the La Liga title.
