REVIEW: 5 Things You May Not Have Noticed in Burna Boy's 'Monsters You Made' Jam


BurnaBoy's latest music video from his recently released 'Twice as Tall' Album has set a lot of tongues waging, owing to the controversial nature of the music video as well as the subliminal messages that the artwork tried to pass across.

The song which is titled 'Monsters You Made' features Chris martin from the popular rock band 'Coldplay'. It was a significant milestone for the Nigerian UK bred artist Burnaboy who has come a long way since songs like to party, Don gorgon from as way back as the year 2011.

These are the five things we learnt from Burna's latest jam "monster's you made"

1. Power of the youth: Burna boys ‘monsters you made’ portrays the strength of the youth as a force to reckon with. Several scenes from the song depict this in the music video.

2. Struggle with Poverty: several images in the music video showed the societal strugle with poverty

3. Society vices: a number of scenes expressed how youths were pushed into several society vices such as crime as a result of the extreme conditions they were

4. Tribute to Fela : Burna boy used the popular fela salutation to celebrate the afro music icon

5. Trival ending: in a quite puzzling ending somewhat similar to the Joker scene in the batman movie. The money recovered from the heist was piled up in a heap and lit on Fire.

The most alarming theme in th music video was that several scenes in the video depicted the coordination of a gang robbery on a bullion van.

other people raise concerns regarding the flouting of gang signs colors and regalia...

The video paints Freedom Fighters who are revolting against the system,this video might eventually do the magics that Fela Anikulapo songs does to a soul.

If you are man with capacity to cause mayhem,you'll feel like taking an H bomb and dropping it at Aso rock and killing our past leader in a coup if you watch the video.
It might be banned if it goes too viral.
If the guy wants to start a revolution,he should just feature Nairamarley and Davido in the remix , government ,you will see insurrection

The last part where money was burnt simply implies that one day after making these monsters with looted money, it wouldn't save em anymore....our so called music artists are ass lickers and favor finders they can't say shit

That's the only song I like in the album even though that's the only one I have listened to....

Nigeria Needs Help.

Some politicians are happy it's only Burna Boy fighting for the struggle of freedom for the masses.
Although, it's disturbing. But, it's not as disturbing as having more voices with strong messages as his.

If there were more artists who could be "burna boys" there would be a great achievement. The mission will be accomplished. The struggle we all know is FREEDOM.

It's a good way to fight, fight spiritually, fight the conscience.

The Igbos should learn this tactic too.

Is not contrasting bro......I can agree with the beret wearing but there was no act of robbery in the scene. That scene depicts literally set of politicians who stoled from the masses and they were caught by freedom fighters on their way home or to abroad and the money they stoled was been burnt.
Now that part is not robbery.

Is not contrasting bro......I can agree with the beret wearing but there was no act of robbery in the scene. That scene depicts literally set of politicians who stoled from the masses and they were caught by freedom fighters on their way home or to abroad and the money they stoled was been burnt.
Now that part is not robbery.
