The Nigeria Center for Disease Control (NCDC) has announced 225 new cases of COVID-19 in the country bringing the total to 60,655. One new death was recorded while there were 63 recoveries. Lagos State topped the list.

The 225 new cases are reported from 11 states- Lagos (165), FCT (17), Rivers (13), Ogun (12), Niger (, Delta (4), Ondo (2), Anambra (1), Edo (1), Ekiti (1), Kaduna (1).

The breakdown in the tweet of the NCDC shows that the 225 cases were from 11 different states. Lagos State recorded the highest number of cases with 165. The Federal Capital Territory followed with 17 cases while Rivers State had 13 cases. 63 people recovered, which brings the recoveries up to 52,006 from 51,943. One new death was recorded.
