Respect and the sanctity of traditional institutions in Nigeria must not be allowed to die down by the government.

Traditional rulers are not politicians, they do not make laws neither do they give order on how the security of the state should be handled, all these are strictly the business of either the President or Governor of respective state in the country.

CHECK IT OUT

It is however, saddened that the highly revered Oba of Lagos, Oba Rilwan Akiolu is made to pay for what he knows nothing about and his highly revered stool desecrated by hoodlums who vandalized his palace and went ahead to steal his staff of office and other treasured items in the palace.

This is why I wouldn't join the people who praise the boy that stole the staff of office of Oba Lagos for whatever reason.

The staff of office may have been returned but the sanctity of the traditional institutions in Nigeria must be restored, I am pleased that President Buhari gave it a top priority in his speech last week. but to me that is not enough, the boy must be made to pay for his action alongside the following people.

The Boy

The boy should be apprehended at all cost, and be prosecuted for desecrating the highly revered traditional insituon in Nigeria.

The Security Guards At The Oba Akiolu Palace

All the security agents who failed to protect the staff of office of the Oba should be arrested for questioning and subsequently sent out of the place for breach of trust.

The Boy's families

The boy's families should be arrested for investigation and sent out of Lagos state to deter others from following such ignoble path he had followed to descrate the highly revered traditional institution.

If the staff was really found, they would have broadcasted the face of the thief everywhere. Nothing dey happen, the staff was only replaced. The thief must have the original hanged in his family living room.

gbam.these youths are completely ignorant of traditional customs and basic decency and respect for elders and traditions because the useless money thirsty elders who should have given them the training did not so they don't see anything wrong in desecrating the palace or stealing the staff of office
