FREE TOM OGA NOW!

It's been 3 tortuous weeks since Buhari's Minister, Jeddy Agba ordered the arrest and continuous detention of Benue born 72-year old Nigerian Journalist, Pa. Oga Tom Uhia.

Jeddy Agba, the Nigeria's Minister of State for Power, who hails from Cross River, through his uncle who is the DIG in charge of Force CID, is currently keeping Pa. Oga, over an alleged injurious publication against him in the July edition of Power Steering Magazine.

All entreaties from the Nigeria Union of Journalists, Civil Society Groups, APC Chieftains and the general public, especially the family and associates of Pa. Oga, that he should be released due to his health status, fell on the deaf ear of the power drunk Minister under Buhari's integrity government.

The Police claim they got a detention order, which according to investigation, was fraudulent procured from a not-named Magistrate in Mararaba, Nasarawa State, without considering the jurisdiction of the court or application of Criminal Justice of Nasarawa State.

As a way of pushing for the enforcement of his fundamental rights, the Idoma lawyers have decided to take up the case with leadership from Senior Advocates of Nigeria from Idoma land and Pa. Oga's Attorney, Alex Oketa (Esq.).

This move became necessary, as the health of Pa. Oga is deteriorating and Buhari's Minister has refused to either let the man go and reunite with his grandchildren, nor charge the matter to court.

Watch this space for details of how a detention order was illegally procured, plus other issues.

Meanwhile, any good spirited Nigerian, young or old, who still believes in the rule of law and wants freedom for Pa. Oga, should share this post, trend the #FreeOgaNow harshtag and also use this picture on his/her dp or profile on social media.
