The Nigeria Center for Disease Control (NCDC) has announced 223 new cases of COVID-19 in the country bringing the total to 63,731. One new death was recorded while there were 96 recoveries. Lagos State topped the list. The 223 new cases are reported from 17 states- Lagos (85), FCT (35), Akwa Ibom (24), Enugu (18), Plateau (13), Rivers (10), Abia (7), Ebonyi (6), Anambra (5), Adamawa (4), Bauchi (3), Imo (3), Ogun (3), Oyo (3), Kwara (2), Osun (1), Taraba (1). The breakdown in the tweet of the NCDC shows that the 223 cases were from 17 different states. Lagos State recorded the highest number of cases with 85. The Federal Capital Territory followed with 35 cases while Akwa Ibom had 24 cases. 96 people recovered, which brings the recoveries up to 59,844 from 59,748. One new death was recorded.
