CYMS Advocate For Peaceful Coexistence

The Committee Of Youth On Mobilization and Sensitization (CYMS) has called for peaceful Coexistence among Nigerian youths and advised Nigerian youths to desist from acts capable of disintegrating the country and embrace peace.

The Director General, CYMS, Comrade Obinna Nwaka made this call during a courtesy visit to the Nigerian Interreligious Council intimating the council of the organization's readiness to forge a partnership that will enhance peaceful Coexistence and stability in the country.

He said "as CYMS remains focused on its 2020 agenda of empowering the youth, a peaceful atmosphere remains imperative for the actualization of our agenda, saying that the recent situation in the country calls for concern and as an organization we will continue to do our best to bring calmness to the country.

"We are proactive and have taken a technical approach towards confronting few challenges that led to recent nationwide protest and unrest by the Nigerian Youth, which we announced few weeks ago.
We are still Monitoring and Evaluating all processes, in due we shall be doing a paper presentation in a Conference to address Peace in Nigeria.
At CYMS, we are not just Leaders but also good Readers".

He however encouraged Nigerians to embrace a book tittled "Dialogue in Context" A Nigerian experience as autographed by the organization's Executive Secretary (the Nigeria Inter-religious Council (NIREC) Executive Secretary Fr Prof Cornelius.

The Executive Secretary, NIREC, Fr. Prof. Cornelius commended CYMS for the role they play in Nation building and also assured them of a good working relationship with the council.

The CYMS delegation was led by the Director General, Ambassador Obinna Nwaka comprises of other five (5 ) National Officers; Yerima Aminu Isa Ahmadu, Tonto Dikeh, Adeyemi Qudus, Chima Maurice and Aisha Baiyee Ibrahim.
