The Nigeria Center for Disease Control (NCDC) has announced 212 new cases of COVID-19 in the country bringing the total to 64,728. No new death was recorded while there were 53 recoveries. Lagos State topped the list.

The 212 new cases are reported from 17 states- Lagos (71), Imo (26), Plateau (26), FCT (19), Ondo (17), Kaduna (14), Rivers (9), Oyo (9), Katsina (6), Osun (4), Bauchi (2), Ekiti (2), Nasarawa (2), Ogun (2), Kano (1), Kwara (1), Taraba (1).

The breakdown in the tweet of the NCDC shows that the 212 cases were from 17 different states. Lagos State recorded the highest number of cases with 71. Imo State followed with 26 cases while Plateau State had 26 cases. 53 people recovered, which brings the recoveries up to 60,790 from 60,737. No new death was recorded.
