5 Vital Actions When Braking, Cutting The Car by saraminiii: 8:30am On Nov 14, 2020
Car control is one of the most important factors in preventing human and financial losses when technical problems occur while driving. Cutting the car brake is one of the technical problems that may cause fear and anxiety for the driver and passengers while driving. In such cases, the driver may not be able to overcome his fear and make the situation more difficult with his wrong movements. In this case, the driver's awareness of the critical actions when braking is more important than anything; Because if the driver has a correct knowledge of other factors that stop the car, the possibility of accidents and personal and financial losses is minimized.

1. Keep calm

When you notice that the car brake is off while driving, the most important thing to do is to stay calm and control the steering. If you can not overcome your fears, you may do something completely involuntary that makes it harder to control the car; For example, instead of pressing the brake pedal, press the car accelerator pedal!

2. Do not pay attention to the accelerator pedal!

Do not depress the accelerator pedal under any circumstances, especially on slopes. When the car brake is off, focus completely on the accelerator pedal and focus only on stopping the car.

3. Turn off cruise control

If the car has a cruise control system, you must deactivate it when the car brakes are applied; Because this system may increase or decrease the speed depending on the distance of your car from other cars. In such cases, shutting down the system may be the best decision.

4. Test the brake pedal

After braking the car, try to check the condition of the brake pedal. If the pedal is too soft, the car engine oil may have lost its quality or its level may be too low. On the other hand, the pedal may be too tight, which could be due to the failure of a mechanical component or the placement of an additional object behind the pedal.

5. Drive the car to the right lane

Under no circumstances should you move in the overtaking lane when cutting the car brakes. Even on one-way roads, this can lead to serious accidents. The best lane in this situation is the right lane. On roads with more than three lanes, always try to be in the first lane on the right.
On highways, especially in large cities, the right lane can also be dangerous due to its cuts; Because a large number of cars may intend to leave the highway. On highways, it is best to use the middle and right lanes at the same time; But on freeways, the right lane is very safe.
