My son sat for the just concluded common entrance examination and got 165( qualified for selection under national merit)

meanwhile, the Federal Ministry of education has announce that the cut off mark for this year admission is peg at 142 classify as national merit

could this mark (165) placed my son admission in Kings College in Lagos

This simply your son exceed the state quota and qualify to be on the merit list. Before it’s 170 and above.

Again, there’s a wide difference between cut of mark and merit. Cut of mark is the minimum score needed to gain an admission but not guarantee.

I heard that Kings College too we still have to do their own selection after the release of National Cut off mark
