Our love tasted like Apple

Ranging from mild to sweet, The caramelized flavor kissed our taste buds

crunchy but easily gives way to its edibility

A definition that gives it the perfect shape.



Recalling the moment of when we met on a bus.

Your beauty reminded me of all my flaws

The scent of summer wrapped its warm hands around me

When I asked for your number you said"no give me yours".

Immediately tiny insects flapped their wings in the pit of my core and my nerves began to tingle.



If you would look into the Apple of my eyes

You will see that you are the twinkle in my orbs.

My heart was stolen,

You were Robinhood.

Your smile was Megan good

I gave up my eleven digits

Sealed it in love

You took it as your heart beat and made it the chorus of our love song.



I stayed up all night; waited for a call or even a text,

The Chambers in my body were so pumped, I couldn't have slept

In the morning, your

message popped up 

"hey sweetie"

I was shocked.

I replied "new phone who's this

Who else did you give your number to yesterday?".



And it all began...

Whether in hind, fore or in- sight, I can't tell.

But you see, our love was this continuous tense that took me to the past, showed me what was present kept the future of our relationship in a bottle cus that was the real suspense.

Our conversation was sweet and tender

A reflection of the beauty that is your heart.



Love stores feelings in clouds

Whenever the rain is sober it cries into our sleeves with its intricate lesson that drizzles the blessing of us confessing our feelings without stressing.

Love is a beauty that glows the skin with its melanin touch,

And for Every time we touched I felt the sweetness run through my spine.



The honey crisp flowing through the veins in my intestines

Your eyelids are violins that play sweet melodies in my heart

If love could be a loan,

You were my loan

My time was the collateral that made you my own.



A river that flows through my sinews, and the core of my being

When our lips touch, I spoke in French...

My heart fed on love when you gave me Apple to eat

If this is the apple, then I choose to eat.
