Now if you know your anatomy well, you would understand that there is no big deal in this.

That region of the body is the proximal articulation of sternum. The bone there which is known as the jagular notch is thick and broad and has a depression on the middle. This is the reason the arrow would sit straight when placed there.

Moreover, at both ends are the clavicles holding it in place at the sternoclavicular joint . So rigidity is maintained.

At the distal articulation is the sternum body which serves as additional support.

This is not an art but more of science
