One thing that is common among people who do like to take drinks produced and sealed inside metal cans is that, whenever they buy it, they open it immediately and start to drink it without doing what they ought to do before drinking it.


According to a popular Nigerian medical doctor on Twitter who do advise people on how to go about their health in order for them to be healthy, he has made it known that whenever people buy can drinks, the first thing is not to drink it immediately.

He said that, the first thing is to use water to wash the edges of the can we are taking very well because most times, the edges do contain rat urine, as rat might have urinated on it if not properly stored and that could cause Lassa fever, leptospirosis and so on.
Or if we can not wait to rinse it properly with water, one thing we should is that we should use straw to sip it, as our mouth won't contact the dirts on it.
