The Nigeria Center for Disease Control (NCDC) has announced 550 new cases of COVID-19 in the country bringing the total to 70,195. One new death was recorded while there were 163 recoveries. Lagos State topped the list.

The 550 new cases are reported from 17 states- Lagos (219), FCT (168), Kaduna (52), Kwara (19), Kano (15), Rivers (15), Sokoto (10), Enugu(9), Gombe (, Plateau (7), Osun (7), Anambra (5), Oyo (5), Jigawa (4), Ogun (4), Bauchi (2) and Edo (1).

The breakdown in the tweet of the NCDC shows that the 550 cases were from 17 different states. Lagos State recorded the highest number of cases with 219. The Federal Capital Territory followed with 168 cases while Kaduna State had 52 cases. 163 people recovered, which brings the recoveries up to 65,110 from 64,947. One new death was recorded.
