The Federal Government has promised free computers to female students across the country. The Minister for State for Education Kenneth Gbagi made this known when he inspected the Millennium Development Goals ( MDGs) projects at the Federal College of Education (Technical), Akoka, Lagos last Friday. Gbagi said the computers would be distributed in the six geo- political zones. "The computers will be delivered to the six geo-political zones in the country and the distribution will be handled by the zones to all female students across the country," he assured. OnMDGs’projects,Gbagi urged workers to maintain the projects and that they should see government properties as theirs. This, he said, would help the economy grow faster "Unless we start treating government business like ours, this country will not go forward. You don’t leave government’s properties in dust, use them to generate income," he urged. Gbagi, who expressed satisfaction at the projects, lamented the rot, which he said have affected some parastatals owing to workers’ indifference. Gbagi urged that government’s institutions needs to be protection. Dr Tirimisiyu Oladimeji, Provost, Federal College of Education, Akoka, gave kudos to the Federal Government for the project, noting that the college has achieved a lot through the project. His words: "We are grateful to the Federal Government and the Federal Ministry of Education for availing all levels of education in this countrywith the MDGs project in their varied needs. This college have executed several projects and without them, we will certainly not be where are today."
